From 1980 to 2009 Dr. Marchant was with Amoco and BP including positions as Chief Geologist Amoco Canada, Nile Delta Exploration Manager ExxonMobil Amoco Egypt, VP Exploration BP Egypt Oil, Exploration Manager Saudi Arabia, General Manager BP Abu Dhabi, President BP Kuwait Lt. and VP middle East BP International
