Biography
Nawaz has extensive industrial experience with a proven track record in managing multi-disciplinary drug discovery teams. Nawaz has held positions at Rhone-Poulenc Rorer (1993-1995), Cambridge Discovery Chemistry (1999-2000), Millennium Pharmaceuticals (2000-2003), Inpharmatica (2003-2006) and most recently, was Head of Chemistry at Lectus Therapeutics (2007-2009). Nawaz has a good understanding across most therapeutic areas, an excellent track record of delivering success and has identified numerous small molecule development candidates.
