Biography
Anders Östlund lives in Kyiv, Ukraine, has been part of seven start-ups in Sweden and Ukraine and is today operating four companies on the Ukrainian market. A native Swede, Anders spent the first 14 years of his adult life in Stockholm where he graduated from the Stockholm School of Economics while at the same time being part of the founding team for the Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship in 1999. Anders Östlund's entrepreneurial projects include an e-learning platform, a health clinic and a convenience retail chain. In May 2006 Anders co-founded Ticket2.com, an Internet market place for event ticket trading. And, since its launch, Ticket2.com has grown rapidly throughout the Nordic countries. During his three years as CEO of Ticket2.com Anders worked intensively to achieve a prime on-line position in the Nordic countries as well as establishing and managing a supplier network over most of Western Europe. In the spring of 2007 Internet World listed Anders as one of Sweden’s hottest IT-entrepreneurs. After having reshaped Ticket2.com in the wake of the financial crisis of 2008, cutting costs and managing a rapid shrinking demand, Anders recruited a successor to Ticket2.com and decided to emigrate to Ukraine in 2009 to launch new ventures on the emerging Ukrainian market. Arriving in Ukraine during mid 2009 looking for new business opportunities Anders eventually started Fryday - an international network of professionals - in 2010. As of 2017 Fryday is present in more than 20 countries across the world and has more than 200,000 members. During his spare time Anders enjoys to read history, socialize with friends and travel.
