Biography
Gregory Mason advises industrial and metallurgical companies, financial institutions and investors on strategic and operational management, corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, transformation and restructuring strategies, production technologies and continuous improvement. Having a long professional career in metallurgy, Gregory Mason is a recognized leader and international expert in the field of technology and operational management, covering a wide range of companies - from metallurgical plants to mini plants in North America, Europe, Russia and Asia. His extensive production experience is complemented by a deep knowledge of the technological processes of steel production and structures of their cost, key factors for achieving competitiveness and creating value for the company. Previously, Gregory Mason worked as CEO of Severstal International. He was responsible for Severstal's production assets in North America and Europe. Working in metallurgical companies and consulting firms, Mr. Mason went from engineering and operational management to senior management. Mr. Mason is a registered professional engineer in the United States. He graduated in 1975 from the St. Petersburg State Marine Technical University, majoring in electrical engineering. Gregory Mason is a US citizen; he lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Within the Supervisory Board, Mr. Mason oversees strategic and operational management, technological innovation and the introduction of continuous improvement practices. Mr. Mason is a member of the Strategy and Investment Committee and the Committee for Industrial Safety and Ecology of the Metinvest BV Supervisory Board
