Biography
Igor Syry was born on October 8, 1972 in the city of Kharkov, Ukraine. In 1995 he graduated from the Economics Faculty of Kharkov State Agrarian University. In 1994-1995 he worked as Deputy Investment Manager of the Agroprominvest Investment Company. In 1995-1997, he was a loan manager for Western NIS Enterprise Fund (Kyiv). In 1999 he received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Cornell University (USA). In 1999-2002, he was a senior consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers. In 2002-2006 he was a senior manager of ZAO System Capital Management (SCM, Donetsk). The author of the concept of development of the mining and smelting business of SCM, one of the initiators of the Metinvest Group. Member of the Association of Certified Public Accountants (ACCA) , Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) . From 2006 to December 2013, he held the position of Director General of Metinvest Holding.
