Biography
Dr. Marcus T. Richards has spent over 33 years in the Oil and Gas Sector in a variety of technical, commercial and senior executive roles covering both the upstream and downstream. He is Executive Advisor to Boston Consulting Group LLP and Managing Director of Oil and Gas Management Consulting Limited, a company focused on advising Private Equity, Investment Banks and buy-side analysts focused on investment and M&A transactions in the Oil and Gas sector. From February 2011 to December, 2013 Marcus served as the Group Chief Executive (CEO) of Dana Petroleum plc, joining the company following its takeover by the Korea National Oil Corporation in late 2010 for â‚´66.3billion (USD$2.6billion). During a successful three years he transformed the company from an investor-led business into a $4.0billion fully-fledged exploration, development and production company operating within Europe, Middle East and Western Africa. He is also founding shareholder and Strategic Advisor to the Executive Management Team of Tier One Capital Limited, an independent Wealth Management advisory firm and non-executive director of Cascade Cash Management Limited. He holds a BSc (Hons) and PhD, and is an alumnus of Harvard University.
