Biography
Assistant Medical Director, Trauma Services Board Member, Pediatric Specialists of America Dr. Blumstein is employed by Pediatric Specialists of America (PSA), the physician-led group practice of Miami Children’s Health System. She is the assistant medical director of Trauma Services and an attending physician within the Emergency Department at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Dr. Blumstein is an assistant professor of pediatrics at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine and serves on the board of Pediatric Specialists of America. She also is a member of the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship Clinical Competency and Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship Program Evaluation committees, and participates in the Monthly Procedure Conference for Emergency Department Fellows at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Dr. Blumstein earned her medical degree from the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital, followed by a fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Her clinical interests include trauma management, injury prevention and emergency room utilization. Dr. Blumstein is board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, has presented at national conferences and her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Blumstein sees patients at the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital main campus. She is fluent in English and Medical Spanish
