Biography
Licensed Pediatric Neuropsychologist and Neurorehabilitation Specialist PSA Director, Cognitive Neuroscience Dr. Naidoo is employed by Pediatric Specialists of America (PSA), the physician-led multispecialty group practice of Miami Children’s Health System. She is a licensed neuropsychologist and neurorehabilitation specialist and PSA director of Cognitive Neuroscience with the Brain Institute at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Dr. Naidoo earned a doctorate in kinesiology (human biology) from Michigan State University in East Lansing and a doctorate in school psychology (neuropsychology) from the University of Texas at Austin. Her internship in clinical neuropsychology and neurorehabilitation was completed at Goodwill Neurorehabilitation Services at Westside in Lewiston, Maine. Dr. Naidoo then conducted a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Her special interests include pediatric-acquired brain injuries, developmental anomalies, medically complex individuals and neuropsychiatric populations, with a focus on neurorehabilitation for neurocognitive weaknesses. Dr. Naidoo has taught at both the secondary and tertiary levels. She is a member of the Brain Injury Association of America, American Psychological Association, American Psychological Association's Division of Rehabilitation Psychology, International Neuropsychology Society and the National Academy of Neuropsychology. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and she has lectured both nationally and internationally. Dr. Naidoo sees patients at the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital main campus. She is fluent in English and Afrikaans.
