Biography
He received his higher education in the Kharkov Medical Institute, which he graduated with honors. Throughout 1994-1996 he passed an internship in neurology. In 1997 he received the second specialization of an anesthesiologist. After graduation he started working in the largest neurological hospital in Ukraine, city clinical hospital No.7, in the Center of acute Cerebrovascular pathology. In 2002, he received training in an internship in neurology at the Department of Clinical Neurology at the Clinic of the Vienna Medical University (Vienna). In 2004, he studied at the Stroke Summer School of the European Stroke Initiative (Austria). Candidate's thesis defended on the topic "Optimization of medical tactics in acute ischemic stroke" in 2005, under the guidance of Professor VA. Yavorskoy. In 2006, he worked as a neurologist at the Department of Clinical Neuroscience Hospital, University of Western Ontario, which is the leader among the North American Strokes Centers.
