Netjazhenko Vasily Zakharovich

Biography

 He received his higher medical education in Uzhgorod State Medical University, graduating with honors. He began working as a phthisiatrician in the Kherson region, and then worked for several years in the Rakhiv district of the Transcarpathian region. He received first experience in practical work: from a rural doctor and a district therapist to an emergency doctor, having comprehended practically all possible aspects of rural medicine of that time. In 1969 he entered post-graduate school on the basis of the cardiovascular surgery clinic of the Kyiv Research Institute of Tuberculosis and Thoracic Surgery (now the National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery named after Amosov of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine), successfully completed his studies, defended his thesis and worked for several years in the clinic. Since 1988, he held the post of the head of the Department of Internal Medicine Propaedeutics No. 1 of the AAA National Medical University. Bogomolets. In 1999 I was elected a full member of the European Society of Cardiology, and in 2002 - I was elected a corresponding member of the AMS of Ukraine in the specialty "Therapy". In 2001 he was awarded the title of Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine.
