Research Interest

I am currently working on a number of projects including the EuroGentest2 project - a multi-centre European project aimed at ensuring standardisation and harmonisation of genetic testing across Europe. I am involved with Work Package 7, Quality of Genetic Counselling. I am also involved in collaboration with colleagues at the University of Yamaguchi, Japan on a study about the needs and experiences of older pregnant women, especially in regard to genetic risks, testing and screening. My current primary research interest involves genetic incidental findings. We are collaborating with colleagues at the University of Iowa on a study of the way in which incidental findings from genetic tests are reported to patients. Past research has included work on mesenchymal stem cell transdifferentiation, infertility, pre-term labour and gynaecological cancer.
