Biography
Dr. Taras Gagalyuk is a Research Associate at the Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies (IAMO) in Halle, Germany. His research focus is on the analyses of agricultural policy and governance of agri-food value chains in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Mr. Gagalyuk holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics from Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg. From 2010 to 2014, he was head of the AgriSurvey agency of the Association “Ukrainian Agribusiness Club” In 2013, he was a long-term expert in the German-Ukrainian Agricultural Policy Dialogue (APD), In 2014-2015, Dr. Gagalyuk was consultant to the World Bank and acted as a team leader of the component “Access to Agricultural Markets” of the World Bank’s “Enabling the Business of Agriculture” project in Washington, D.C., USA.
