Biography
Brian Gambin is the Head of Sales and Business Development. Member of the Management Executive Committee.Brian has over 13 years of experience in Sales, Client Relations and Business Development and brings experience in all elements of relationship management, as well as the operational aspects of client service. He joined Abela & Co, one of the largest food service management providers in the United Arab Emirates in 2012 as Head of Sales and Business Development and is a Member of the Management Executive Committee. In his role, Brian is tasked with attracting and closing new business in sectors such as hospitality, hospitals, education, corporates, oil & gas, industrial and retail & franchise operations.Prior to joining Abela & Co, Brian spent 4 years at the Abraaj Group, as Vice President, Corporate Business Development. He was in involved in actively identifying and maintaining relationships with investors throughout the Middle East, ranging from large state-backed funds to influential multinational businesses and wealthy individuals. In addition, he was Head of Middle Office for the Corporate Business Development Unit, and was primarily responsible for ensuring quality information was shared regularly with investors, thus enabling enhanced decision-making on Fund investments. Brian began his career in 2002 with the Dubai International Financial Centre Authority (DIFCA) as Manager, Client Relations and Business Development. At DIFCA, he was responsible for contributing to the future growth of DIFC by developing and managing relationships with new and potential global clients. Brian was one of the founding team members that set the strategy, vision and targets for the centre and has always been a strong advocate for, and presenter on, developments in the regional commercial, regulatory, legal, and markets environment. Brian is also the co-founder of G Ventures Holdings, a company established in 2012, with interests in global franchise operations.
