Biography
Dr. Ali Rasmi Ibrahim has joined the American Hospital Dubai medical staff as an Anaesthetist. He has been a Consultant Anaesthetist at Aintree University Hospital NHS Trust, Liverpool, UK since 2008. Dr.Ibrahim, a British national, was educated and undertook his basic medical training in Baghdad, Iraq, Since then he did all his specialist training in anaesthesia and intensive care medicine in the United Kingdom and Australia, holding several senior positions since the year 2000. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetist (FRCA), London, UK since 2004 and he gained his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), UK in 2008.
Research Interest
His career has spanned substantial clinical experience in anaesthetising patients for elective and emergency procedures for a variety of surgical specialties (General surgery, Bariatric, Major Head & Neck, Orthopaedics, Paediatric, Ophthalmic, Plastics and Burns, Urology and Obstetrics & Gynaecology). He has special interest in difficult airway management, intensive care medicine, clinical risk management and teaching. He was a clinical risk lead clinician for anaesthesia and operating theatres at Aintree University Hospital and a member of faculty on several national courses like ALS, ADAM, CCrISP, ALERT and SAVES. Dr.Ibrahim is a member of several professional societies, including the Royal College of Anaesthetists, British Medical Association, Medical Defence Union, Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland, and the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine.
