Biography
Fadi G. Haddad graduated in 2006 from the University of Jordan with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Arts and Design. He attended several workshops in film production and screenwriting. He got a diploma in digital filmmaking from the SAE Institute in Amman in 2008, and graduated with a Masters of Fine Arts in directing and editing from the Red Sea Institute of Cinematic Arts in Aqaba. He wrote and directed several short films that participated in film festivals around the world, like: Solitaire, Once upon a Piano and High Heels that won the Best Jordanian Short Film Award in the Franco-Arab Film Festival in 2009. After graduating, Fadi worked as a Freelance Director and Editor and taught different film subjects in workshops organized by the Royal Film Commission of Jordan as well as being an Adjunct Lecturer in the German Jordanian University. In 2010, Fadi worked as a Creative Producer in the award-winning Jordanian feature film The Last Friday. Currently, Fadi is putting the final touches on his first feature film as Writer/Director of When Monaliza Smiled, a Jordanian romantic comedy, as well as being the Lead Editor. The feature is expected to be released in summer 2012. In 2012, Fadi joined the Mohammed Bin Rashid School for Communication at the American University in Dubai as an Assistant Professor of Digital Production and Storytelling.
