Biography
Natalia holds a B. S. in Civil Engineering and M.A. in Interior Design with professional interior design experience in residential and commercial spheres. She is a National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) ambassador and also maintains active membership status with the Council for Interior Design Qualification. During her ten years of academic experience at Villa Maria College of Buffalo, New York, she has been teaching all levels of undergraduate interior design students focusing on active learning methodologies and providing individual attention to students. Natalia has a wide range of experience in the accreditation process with the Council of Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA). In addition, she has chaired college wide curriculum committees and has developed and maintained Honors Program in the capacity of Honors Program Coordinator. As professional member of American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), for over 6 years, Natalia was faculty advisor for Villa Maria College ASID’s local chapter helping students in furthering the interior design profession. Prof. Albul is also a professional member of the Interior Design Educators Council (IDEC) where she also chairs the Distance Learning Committee at IDEC. She has presented at many conferences on a range of topics from healthcare design to alternative methods of academic deliveries. Her education philosophy is based on the idea that each student is a unique individual, who needs a secure, caring and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and learn. As an educator, she is here to help students to reach their fullest potential. She views herself as a guide that provides access to information instead of just being the primary source of information. Natalia encourages students to search for knowledge and find answers to their questions.
