Biography
Dave Schroeder helps set the ACCESS vision and works with laboratory, academic, and industrial partner personnel to ensure the successful execution of collaborative projects that cross traditional disciplinary boundaries. began working with Argonne in 2010 for the Integrated Laboratory Industrial Research Project, which leveraged expertise at Argonne and Lawrence Berkeley National Labs to study fundamental processes with critical impact on industrial development of lithium-based cells.Dr. Schroeder is also an associate professor in the Department of Technology at Northern Illinois University (NIU). He received his PhD in materials science and engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Research Interest
Dr. Schroeder’s research interests include energy efficiency, batteries and interactions at surfaces. For most of his career he has focused on applying science to the manufacturing of products and answering technical questions posed by industry.
