Biography
Mohammed Y. Al-Qahtani Senior Vice President Saudi Aramco Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mohammed Y. Al Qahtani was appointed senior vice president of Upstream in December 2015, effective January 1, 2016. Al Qahtani’s responsibilities include exploration, petroleum engineering, oil and gas production and processing activities. Prior to this he was vice president of Corporate Planning responsible for developing and maintaining the company’s short- and long-term strategic planning. He is chairman of Saudi Aramco Shell Refinery Company (SASREF) and previously chaired the board of directors for Aramco Services Company, a fully owned subsidiary in Houston, Texas. He was chairman of the Executive Advisory Committee and secretary of the Management Committee and Corporate Center Committee. Previously, he served on the boards of directors for LUKOIL Saudi Arabia Energy Ltd. (LUKSAR); the Saudi Council of Engineers; the Arabian Geophysical & Surveying Company Ltd., and the Society of Petroleum Engineers International.
