Abdul Majeed Ali

Biography

Mr. Majeed has completed MSc International Economics and Banking and Finance from Cardiff University, United Kingdom. He also holds a Bachelor of Business degree with double major in Accounting and Banking & Finance. Currently consulting various Small and Medium Enterprises in Maldives as a partner in the firm, he has gained invaluable experience in the business environment. Prior to working full-time in Optimo LLP, he was working as an officer in Development Banking Cell of Bank of Maldives Plc (BML). He served as a Junior Executive officer at Bank of Ceylon in Credits and Loans department before joining BML.During his time in BML, Mr. Majeed was coordinating various microfinancing projects administered by Bank of Maldives PLC. Some of the successful projects include Private Sector Development Project funded by Asian Development Bank, Kuwait Fund for Agriculture Development Project funded by Kuwait, Fisheries Agriculture Diversification Project by International Fund for Agricultural Development Fund and Microfinancing project by Islamic Development Bank
