Biography
Sally-Ann qualified as a physiotherapist in South Africa in 1984 and after gaining extensive private and hospital experience established and managed 2 private clinics between 1986 and 1998 after which she moved to Dubai. She initially worked in a general physiotherapy clinic in Dubai before accepting a 4-year academic contract developing and lecturing theory and practical components for Orthopaedics, MSK and sports of the BSc physiotherapy degree at The University of Sharjah. During this period she was an active founding member of the Emirates Physiotherapy Society and a co-writer of the EPS standards of practice and code of ethics. Seeing the need for exceptional Physio orthopedic and musculoskeletal services Sally-Ann started the Physiotherapy centre in 2005, within the grounds of the Aviation Club, now well established over the past 11 years.Sally-Ann has been a speaker at many international conferences as well as a member of the conference organizing committees. She remains connected with the University of Sharjah as an invited lecturer to the final year students. She has a special interest in Hypermobility syndrome, complex chronic pain conditions, and the spine and also has over 17 years’ experience of conditions related to the Aviation Industry.
