Mitchell Stotland

Biography

Dr. Mitchell Stotland is Sidra’s Division Chief of Plastic and Craniofacial Surgery, specializing in the treatment of congenital and acquired craniofacial deformities. Dr. Stotland brings to Sidra more than 15 years’ experience in the management of a pediatric craniofacial surgical unit in the USA. After completing his plastic surgery residency at McGill University in Montreal, Dr. Stotland’s training culminated with a craniofacial fellowship under the tutelage of Dr. Henry Kawamoto at the University of California in Los Angeles in 1997. He then went on to launch an interdisciplinary craniofacial program at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire, USA. This program grew over four-fold during his 17-year tenure. Dr. Stotland has served on numerous institutional, regional and national society committees in the USA and is a national board examiner for the American Board of Plastic Surgeons. He combines extensive clinical experience with a fascination for discovery and innovation, driven by a passion for collaborating with students and trainees.
