Laurent Longuet

Biography

Director Prior to joining Akuo Energy, Laurent spent 15 years with Total involved in the development and construction of international energy projects in Europe, Iran, Indonesia and the Middle East. Laurent moved to the renewable energy sector in 2010 to lead, within the frame of a JV with MASDAR, the construction of Shams 1, the first concentrated solar energy power plant in the Middle East and the largest worldwide at the time of its commissioning. After 3 years of developing the activities of SunPower in the Middle East - closing significant deals in Morocco and Qatar, developing a very large Solar project in Egypt, Laurent joined Akuo Energy in 2015. He is based in Dubai and leads the development of Akuo’s activities in the Middle East as well as Akuo Energy Services’ (AES – Akuo Energy' subsidiary dedicated to EPC activities) operations. Laurent holds a BS of Ecole Normale Supérieure (Paris / France) and a MS of Paris Tech (Paris / France - Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Techniques Avancées).
