Biography
Dr. Hassan received his PhD in Accounting from the University of Essex, UK in 2003. Since then, he worked at the University of Hertfordshire, UK; University of Portsmouth, UK and University of Alexandria, Egypt. Currently, he is an Associate Professor in Accounting at the University of Sharjah, UAE and on leave from Alexandria University, Egypt. He published in Journal of Accounting & Organizational Change; Managerial Auditing Journal, Research in Accounting in Emerging Economies, Journal of Financial Reporting and Accounting and International Journal of Disclosure and Governance.
Research Interest
Dr. Hassan\'s research interests include the sociological analysis of accounting practices, institutional theory and accounting change, corporate governance, globalization and accounting transfer, performance evaluation and narrative disclosures.
