Biography
Alexandra Mystikou scientific interests revolve around understanding how photosynthetic organisms respond to their environment and how the consequences of climate change will influence them. I have international experience in underwater surveys (sampling and monitoring), marine biodiversity (phylogenetics and phylogeography) and ecology (distribution patterns and ecosystem functional grouping) studies. My expertise, through my Ph.D. and research projects is on the biodiversity and ecology of the Antarctic, Arctic, Mediterranean and Arabian Gulf marine flora and the interactions with other key marine organisms.
