Nick Allen, Beng

Biography

 Having spent over 25 years’ working as an Engineer, Manager and Director within the manufacturing sector, Nick offers a breadth and depth of experience rarely found in an Operations Professional. Starting his career with a technical engineering apprenticeship, Nick has gone on to add a first class honours, masters and business administration qualifications while gaining experience in organisations at the cutting edge of technology, such as Renishaw PLC and Lombard Medical Technologies PLC. For the last 12 years Nick has lead the operational functions of a number of SME’s and Start-Up’s in the Medical Devices industry, and is now providing consultancy services in this area. With the ability to draw upon experience gained in device manufacturers producing products as diverse as Class I disposables, Class II capital equipment and Class III implantables, Nick is able to devise strategies which are appropriate to individual organisations. This has given him great success in improving efficiency, cost and compliance through achievements such as cleanroom design and build; factory relocation; product modularisation; implementation of cellular manufacture; establishment of operations which have received zero deficiencies during FDA inspections, restructure of outsourced supply chains and many more.
