Biography
Dr. Stocker is one of the most prominent and highly respected members of the public health and managed care communities in New York. From 2008 to 2014 he served under New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg as Chairman of the Board of the Health and Hospitals Corporation, the largest municipal healthcare system in the United States, serving over 1.4 million people. Previously, he was for 11 years President and CEO of Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield of New York. While Dr. Stocker is a board member of organizations including FAIR Health and the New York Academy of Medicine, he also serves on the Boards of several start-up companies, including ActualMeds and SeeChange. Dr. Stocker served his country as a Major in the Army Medical Corps.
