Biography
Elizabeth joined Aston Law in March 2016. Prior to this, she worked at the University of Law (formerly the College of Law) for over 13 years. Elizabeth has taught on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes including the LLB, LPC, GDL and Professional Skills Courses. She was head of Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence together with Advocacy at ULaw. Elizabeth now teaches Contract Law at Aston. She will also be developing further the relationship with the legal profession and industry partners. This will enhance the student experience as well as create employment opportunities for Undergraduate students. Elizabeth qualified as a Solicitor in 1997. She has worked for a number of highly regarded Birmingham practices including the leading construction law practice Neil F. Jones, Wragge & Co and Lee Crowder. She specialised in construction disputes, high value contract claims and professional negligence. Prior to making the transition from legal practice to legal education Elizabeth returned to University. She studied for an MA in Industrial Relations at the University of Warwick where she was awarded a scholarship.
