Biography
Sian Hope is Executive Director of Innovation and Professor of Computer Science at Bangor University. She is also Chairman of CAST (Centre for Advanced Software Technology) a £17 million project based in Parc Menai which is a collaborative venture between the University and the Welsh Assembly Government to transfer skills and technologies between the University and the IT companies located around the north Wales region. Prof Hope is one of the UK's few women Professors of Computer Science. Her research interests are in Software Engineering and Systems Integration.
Research Interest
She is involved in strategic developments, management and team leadership. Her present responsibilities include developing major initiatives between Bangor University, identifying partnership opportunities for development and exploitation of the University's IP, promoting University innovation activities to external bodies.
