Biography
Simon Ling is currently a Director within the M&A Corporate Finance team. He is focused on advising the acquisition and sale of corporate, entrepreneur and private equity-owned businesses, typically valued between £5m and £50m. Simon's role involves full project management and delivery from acquirer/funder research and document preparation (including financial modelling if required), leading introductions to buyers, deal negotiation and liaison with legal and other advisers. Having joined BDO’s Corporate Finance department in 2004, he was trained as a chartered accountant with Young & Co in Hereford. He was an Audit, Accounts and Taxation Manager, where he provided a full service offering to a portfolio of around 100 clients. Simon is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and has a joint honours degree in mathematics & Management Science from the University of Manchester (UMIST).
