Biography
Yasmeen Narayan is a Lecturer in Postcolonial and Psychosocial Studies. She is Director of the Culture Diaspora Ethnicity MA programme and convenor of the Race Forum at Birkbeck. Her first degree was in Social Anthropology at the University of Sussex. She then completed her Masters also in Social Anthropology at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London before completing her PhD in Sociology at the Centre for Urban and Community Research in the Department of Sociology at Goldsmiths where she was also a Visiting Lecturer.
