Rudolph Ng

Biography

Rudolph Ng a Lecturer in Modern Chinese History at Birkbeck College, where he teach Chinese and Global History at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Recently he have given courses on historiography, the history of twentieth-century China, and the history of Western perceptions of the non-West. In the upcoming academic year he will offer two year-long undergraduate modules: the first, a survey course of the history of East Asia, covering China, Japan, and Korea from the 1840s to the present; the second, a G2 module on the history of the Cold War, which will take a global historical perspective. He have truly enjoyed teaching at Birkbeck, where students, coming from diverse backgrounds, offer a great wealth of experience to class discussions.
