Alan Robson

Biography

Alan graduated in 1985 with one of the first Information Systems degrees in the country, before moving directly into lecturing at Sunderland Polytechnic. He joined Birmingham Polytechnic (now Birmingham City University) in 1986 as a lecturer in computer programming and systems analysis but also taught many other aspects of computing from operating systems, through hardware to the more human aspects and IT management. In April 2009 he joined the Centre for Internal Audit, Governance and Risk Management and obtained his certified information systems auditor and certified information security manager qualifications.
