Chan Chee Beng

Biography

Chan Chee Beng has more than 37 years of experience in general and financial management, investment banking and accounting including stints with Ernst & Young and Morgan Grenfell & Co. Ltd prior to joining the Usaha Tegas Sdn Bhd (“UTSB”) Group in 1992 as Head of Corporate Finance. He serves on the boards of several other companies in which UTSB has significant interests, such as Binariang GSM Sdn Bhd and Maxis Communications Berhad (holding company of Maxis Berhad), having an operational base in Malaysia. He is also a director of Yu Cai Foundation. Chan Chee Beng has no family relationship with any Director and/or major shareholder of the Company and he has no conflict of interest with the Company. He has not been convicted of any offence within the past 5 years nor been imposed any penalty by the relevant regulatory bodies during the financial year. He holds a degree in Economics and Accounting from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, United Kingdom and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Chan Chee Beng has no family relationship with any Director and/or major shareholder of the Company. He has no conflict of interest with the Company and has not been convicted of any offence within the past 10 years.
