Biography
Michael Carter is a paediatric registrar from London who joined the Oxford Vaccine Group in 2014. Supported by the Group and the Wellcome Trust, he is researching new diagnostics to assess the burden of pneumococcal pneumonia in children in Nepal during the introduction of vaccination against pneumococcal disease in the country. Michael's academic interests lie in the intersection of infectious diseases, epidemiology and physiology.
