Biography
2008 - present: Animal Population Ecologist, Centre for Ecology & Hydrology. 2006 - 2008: Post-doctoral researcher, Division of Environmental & Evolutionary Biology, University of Glasgow. Research looking at temporal and spatial variation in survival and habitat use of a bird of conservation concern, the red-billed chough, with the aim of devising science-based conservation policies for the species. 2001 - 2005: PhD, Division of Environmental & Evolutionary Biology, University of Glasgow. Research investigating effects of parental age on egg production and incubation performance, and consequences for offspring growth and survival in gulls. 1998 - 1999, 1999 - 2001: Research Biologist, Institute of Zoology, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. Research projects on the ecology and conservation of endangered waterfowl species, and migration dynamics of passerine species.
Research Interest
Interested in the interacting effects of environmental and intrinsic factors on individuals’ life-histories and their consequences for processes at the population level.
