Biography
Aliko is a public health physician, epidemiologist and health strategist with over 24 years’ experience in clinical, academic and public health practice across low and high income countries. He is currently a director in Public Health England (PHE), and previously the director of public health for Staffordshire NHS/county council. He led and managed several public health programmes with demonstrable improvements in outcomes. His global health experiences include field work as a medical epidemiologist with MSF and supporting national disease control programmes in Africa. He contributed to the global programme that supported governments in low income countries to develop national mental health policies.
