Biography
Jonathan is a professional actor and acting coach. He trained as an actor at The Academy of Live and Recorded Arts (ALRA) in London for three years back in the early 90’s. He further studied at the Guildford School of Acting where he gained a First Class Honours Degree in Theatre. He also holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and attained ‘Outstanding’ status on completion of the Graduate Teacher Programme (GTP) at Sussex University. He has worked extensively in all areas of the industry. He has also won and been shortlisted for several acting awards including the highly prestigious The Stage’s Acting Excellence Award for his groundbreaking one-man-show Charlie’s Angel in the 90’s. Other highlights include playing Moortensgard opposite Colin Haigh and Helen Small in the British premiere of David Rudkin’s translation of Ibsen’s Rosmersholm Off-West End directed by Jenny Lee. Jonathan has been teaching and directing at various Performing Arts Schools for over fifteen years and besides coaching actors for the profession he also writes children’s musicals.
