Biography
Kamaran has completed a Masters Degree, in 1991, in Microelectronic and Information Engineering from Liverpool John Moores University. In 2006, was awarded a PhD from the University of Salford developing a meta framework for understanding diagrams. Kamaran started teaching career as early as 1991 working as a part time lecturer at the University of Salford, then began an academic career in the Gulf Region from 1996 to 2002 working as a senior lecturer and head of IT and Computing Section. Kamaran’s moved back to the UK working as a senior lecturer in Information Systems at the University of Northampton. Then moved to Essex University working as a senior instructor in Computing and Electronic Engineering. Kamaran moved for a short period in 2013 to Heriot Watt University Campus in Dubai working as a lecturer in Computer Science. Prior to coming to University of Chichester University Kamaran worked as a Burnham Lecturer in Computer Science at two academic establishments with the Ministry of Defence in the UK. The first role was with the Royal School of Military Survey and the second was with the Defence School.
Research Interest
Kamaran’s teaching interests are varied with specific interests in Big Data, HCI, Databases, Cyber Security, Web Services, and anything to do with Programming particularly in Python.
