Katie Rabone

Biography

Katie has been a professional fundraiser for 16 years, working across all disciplines including bid writing, individual giving and corporates. She is a member of and has a Diploma in Fundraising from the Institute of Fundraising. Katie has worked for a variety of organisations including a local authority where she raised over £1million for a new community centre and 5 separate large outdoor play facilities across the borough. She worked for a women’s refuge, writing a successful bid £400,000 Big Lottery Reaching Communities grant, which secured 3 existing permanent roles and 2 new part time posts for 4 years. She also secured the charity its first major gift. She also worked at Brighton Festival & Dome Limited for 6 years, working with individual donors including major donors. She also managed large six-figure corporate accounts with Royal Bank of Scotland and American Express. Katie offers training sessions to a wide variety of organisations in the South East and London region via her own consultancy, Fundraising Action. She is also an Associate Trainer with the Directory of Social Change.
