Biography

Petrou offers a wide repertoire of adult cardiac surgery in his practice. This includes coronary by-pass surgery (on and off- pump), complex aortic root surgery, the Ross operation, aortic valve and mitral valve repair techniques, aortic aneurysm repair and re-do surgeries. He also has a background experience of treating patients with cardiac failure (transplantation and mechanical assist devices).

Research Interest

Petrou considers the holistic care provided by the cardiology, cardiac surgery, anaesthetic, perfusion, intensive care and nursing teams to be unique and excellent at the Harley Street Clinic. There is an established and robust system in place providing a safe environment for any patient undergoing open heart surgery.
