Biography
He joined Coventry University in February 2017, prior to which he taught at Bournemouth University, the University of Kent and Worcester University. He read history at Aberystwyth University where he stayed on further to complete both an MA and PhD.
Research Interest
He is an historian of modern Britian. With a particular interest in intelligence and espionage history and the Home Front during the Second World War, his work has focussed on the dynamics of class and gender on secret organisations. At present he is writing a biography of John Cairncross, the so-called "fifth man" of the Cambridge Five spyring.
