Biography
Dr Manuel Esperon has been part of the Integrated Vehicle Health Management Centre (IVHM) since 2010. His research has covered the application of IVHM to multiple aircraft systems for both civilian and military applications. Some of his work has focused on the use of IVHM to monitor rotating parts produced using Additive Manufacturing. Manuel has also developed methodologies to integrate IVHM into legacy aircraft by helping to identify which components should be monitored and the best suited condition monitoring technologies attending to technical, operational, and economic requirements. Prior to joining Cranfield he conducted research on Energy Storage Systems. Dr Manuel Esperon has a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Madrid, an MSc in Aerospace Engineering from Brunel University, and a PhD in IVHM from Cranfield University.
