Biography
Matthew Craig is a Programme Manager within the Centre for International Security and Resilience at Cranfield University and has been involved in the provision of applied consultancy projects over the last 15 years for a range of organisations and government departments. These consultancy projects have included a wide range of needs analysis and national capacity development work, detailed analysis and applied research work, as well as the provision of strategic planning advice and assistance. In total, Matthew has experience of conducting applied consultancy projects in over 20 countries including: Afghanistan, Angola, Azerbaijan, Bosnia, Cambodia, Chad, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Georgia, Iraq, Nepal, Somalia, Sudan, UK and U.S. His early career was in the field of defence and security where he was Technical Director of a consultancy company which specialised in the provision of detailed operational analysis, simulation modelling, information management systems, spatial information tools, and senior management training. At the postgraduate level, Matthew has an MSc in Defence Management, a Postgraduate Certificate in Resilience, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Business Administration.

Craig's research interests include: Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Counter-IED, Defence Info Systems, Defence Training Analysis, Explosives and Munitions, Operational Analysis and Simulation.
