Nelia Jurado Pontes
Research Fellow
Energy Processing Modelling
Cranfield University
United Kingdom
Biography
Nelia is a Chemical Engineer specialising in Environmental Technologies, she has experience in developing simulation models for different types of processes related to power generation. Nelia's experimental background is related to design and operation of bench and pilot scale plants in the field of carbon capture and storage. She has been involved in projects focused on oxy-combustion of coal and biomass, post-combustion technology (chemical absorption), and energy storage when using renewable energies (optimisation of integrated production of hydrogen and electricity on wind farms).
Research Interest
Nelia Jurado's research work focuses on simulation of processes involving energy from waste and carbon capture technologies.
