Biography
Paul joined Cranfield in June 2006 as an Executive Development Consultant within the Centre for Customised Executive Development. Trained as an Electronics engineer, Paul's early career was with Aerospace and Noise and Vibration equipment companies in the UK and Europe. He then joined Standard Triumph as a development engineer progressing through Product Planning, to join Jaguar Cars eventually heading up the Company Training and UK Service Operations departments. At Jaguar he introduced innovative and internationally acclaimed interactive training programmes to support the design, manufacture and launch of rapidly changing, technically advanced products. Experience in Retailing includes Head of HR for a large UK dealer group where he prepared the company for flotation on the London Stock Exchange and subsequently helped to return the Company to the private sector. During this time he designed and developed Senior Management Development and Graduate programmes as well as directly supporting the development of individual Company Directors. Prior to joining Cranfield, Paul held a senior position within one of the UK's Sector Skills Councils, charged by government and employers with leading the drive to boost competitiveness through skills development. Paul has worked across many sectors including IT, Mining, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Retailing, and on a voluntary basis has also been responsible as Chairman for the recruitment an development of Magistrates for Warwickshire. He has a BSc in Electronic Engineering and an MBA from Warwick University.
