Biography
Following five years working within the financial sector, Paula joined Cranfield University’s Security Sector Management (SSM) Programme as the Programme Manager for Latin America and the Caribbean, based in Bogota, Colombia. Paula’s work with Cranfield involved a number of regional initiatives related to security sector management, including work in Guatemala, Guyana, Bolivia and Colombia. Between 2007 and 2010, Paula worked for the UK Border Agency, based out of the British Embassy in Bogota and the British Consulate in Chicago. In 2010, she returned to the UK and recommenced work with Cranfield University. Paula holds a postgraduate degree in International Relations and a BA (Hons) in Languages and International Trade. She is currently a Doctoral candidate (EdD, Learning, Leadership and Policy) at Bristol University where she is researching the role of higher education in the professionalisation of Armed Forces in developing states.
