Biography
Mark graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, University of London in 1996 during which time he gained a particular interest in Small Animal Orthopaedics dedicating the majority of his final year to the study of this subject. Graduation was accompanied by 2 awards for outstanding achievement in the Small Animal Hospital. His first year post graduation was spent working in a 2 vet small animal practice in Nottinghamshire during which he gained the essential skills that would form the basis of his career. After a year in Nottinghamshire Mark moved to Doncaster and after 3 years of intensive study Mark gained the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Certificate in Small Animal Surgery achieving one of the highest marks of the year. From this he developed a busy referral case load both from within the practice and from practices throughout Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire.  Mark became clinical director at Beechwood Veterinary Hospital in 2009 and has recently achieved Advanced Practitioner Status in Small Animal Surgery.  Major refurbishment is currently underway at Beechwood in preparation for installation of a Siemens 16 slice CT scanner with the aim of becoming a regional centre providing advanced CT imaging to CVS and non CVS practices alike.
