Joe Shine

Biography

Joe Shine was named General Manager of the Gulf of Mexico business in 2016. He is responsible for the management of the GoM region and provides support to Praxair’s businesses in The Americas. Shine joined Praxair in 1990 as a region engineer in Birmingham, Alabama. He became a technical sales representative for Praxair Services Inc. in 1994 before being named manager of the Pittsburg, CA location in 1997. In 1999, he became an account manager for merchant and on-site gases in the western region of the US. In 2004, he became the director of energy services for North America. In 2009, he became the CO2 product manager for the US. In 2011, he became a business development director for Praxair’s helium business. In 2015, he became the sales director for the US oil & gas services business.    

Research Interest

Shine earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rochester and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from California State University.
