Biography
Marion is Spanish Language Programme Coordinator at the Centre for Foreign Language Study. Since 1997 she has taught Spanish as a foreign language in schools and at university level, in Spain and in the UK. Her concern for the improvement and renovation of language teaching in higher education has led her to engage in innovation projects that have resulted in conference papers and publications on the subject. Also a Catalan teacher, Marion has combined her love of languages with her passion for medieval literature, a subject that she has been teaching and publishing on for years. She uses an interdisciplinary approach where literary, linguistic, cultural and historical studies are integrated in order to describe a wide-ranging picture of the late medieval Hispanic context. She is a member of the IVITRA (Institut Virtual Internacional de Traducció) and BITECA (Bibliografia de Textos Catalans Antics) research groups.
Research Interest
Her research focuses primarily on representations of women and the feminine in medieval Hispanic literature, as well as the origins and evolution of ethics within this cultural tradition.
