Biography
Natasha Newell is a First Contact Advisor for the NIHR Research Design Service North East. She completed her PhD at the University of Manchester in 2009. The work investigated the effect of thymidine phosporylase on tumour growth and progression. Following this Natasha joined the Clinical Oncology group at Sheffield University and completed a three year Post Doctoral Research position exploring the relationship between doxorubicin and zoledronic acid in breast cancer treatment. In 2013 she joined the NHS advising on the development, submission and implementation of various research studies covering topics in paediatrics, dermatology, cardiology, gynaecology, antibiotic resistance, speech and language therapy, nutrition and dietetics, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, stroke and orthopaedics.
